Geography Webquest

Step 1:  Vocabulary Notes


  Click on the map to get your notes then copy and rename the file. If you don't wish to rename your file you can get the notes in Google Classroom.

Step 2:  Learning about Latitude


Learn about latitude.  Make a copy and save the Cornell note form in your "geography" folder.  You will use a packet provided in class to get your information.  If you don't wish to rename your file you can get the notes in Google Classroom. 



Step 3:  Learning about Longitude


Learn about longitude by continuing the Cornell note form in your "geography" folder.  You will use a packet provided in class to get your information. 

Step 4:  Reviewing Latitude and Longitude


Click on the picture to watch this YouTube video about longitude and latitude.  If you are not humming this mildly annoying song by the end we will be impressed.

Step 5:  Plotting Points


After we review how to plot points in class, click on each link to practice plotting points.  Remember, x-axis (latitude) comes before y-axis (longitude).  The games get progressively more challenging.

Step 6:  Apply what you have learned


Click on the picture to the left to access Junior Scholastic. You will receive a graded Google Form by g-mail.


Step 7:  Review for the quiz


Practice the continents and oceans.  You must know how to spell, too!  Use your Cornell Notes, vocabulary notes, and knowledge of coordinates to ace your quiz!
